Girls Ministries

YWEA 2012

International Girls Ministries Week is February 8-15, 2012. The YWEA/Girls on a Mission project for 2012 is “Haven of Hope” in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Eastern North Carolina was selected, along with 8-10 other states, to support our own project in partnership with the International Youth & Discipleship Department and Children of the World. Our goal is to raise $72,000 for Bolivia. Anything over this amount will go toward the main YWEA project in Zambia, Africa.

Because the GOAM Program this year was written for Zambia, Africa, and we are doing a different project in Bolivia, I am suggesting a “generic” program for you to use for your celebration in February for Girls Ministries Week. It is entitled “Mission Nutrition” and can be ordered from the International Girls Ministries Department Store. The promo video above can be downloaded to show to your girls and leaders.

This year’s Girls Night Out (April 20) and Girls Day Out (April 21) events are going to be amazing. Our theme is “Fashioned” and our special guest is Charlotte Music. Our theme Scripture is from Colossians 3.

“Now you’re dressed in a new wardrobe. Every item of your new way of life is custom-made by the Creator, with His label on it. All the old fashions are now obsolete. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Colossians 3:10, 14 (The Message)

I encourage you to take your girls on a journey in this passage prior to the events in April – it’s powerful and a solid word we can “chew on.” Promo information will be posted here soon. I will notify you by email when it is available. If you are not receiving my emails, please send your information to girlsministries@enccog.org. Also, check out the ENCYCE Facebook page for upcoming children’s and youth events. Lastly, you can follow me on twitter: MarciaStigile.
