Janet Paschal's career has been marked by numerous honors and accolades. With more than a dozen recordings to her credit, Janet’s passion and vulnerability are most evident in her inspiring music, including her latest release, Treasure. Her recordings have been recognized with numerous Grammy and Dove Award nominations, and she is consistently named among Gospel Music's favorite soloists by the genre's top trade magazines. Most recently, Paschal’s latest radio release, “Hide Me Sweet Rock Of Ages,” peaked at the Number One position on Southern Gospel Music’s most recognized national radio airplay chart, published in The Singing News Magazine.
Born in Reidsville, North Carolina, Janet has shared the stage with presidents and is a featured artist on the popular Gaither Homecoming Tour. After battling breast cancer in 2005, Janet resumed her touring schedule, including concerts, women's conferences and cancer awareness events. In November, 2008, the popular singer released a brand new book, Treasures Of The Snow, which chronicles her triumphant battle with cancer and stories from three decades in Gospel music. Her first literary work, The Good Road became a best seller.
Janet’s travels in 2009 and 2010 took her throughout the US and Canada, as well as nearly a dozen European countries. Janet also hosts her own radio program, Walking The Good Road, which airs on more than 30 stations, covering 17 states across the US, as well as Canada. The programs focus on cancer awareness. For the past two years, she has hosted the Annual Cancer Walk at the National Quartet Convention, Southern Gospel Music’s premier week-long festival.
During 2011, Janet will be featured in concerts, women's conferences and special events throughout the United States and Canada, as well as the Gaither Homecoming Alaskan Cruise with legendary songwriters, Bill & Gloria Gaither. Janet will join the Gaithers during their Annual Family Fest in May, and will be with them at the Annual Gaither Fest event in October. She will also host the 3rd Annual Cancer Walk to benefit the American Cancer Society in Louisville, KY, in September during the National Quartet Convention.
Janet inspires all who hear her not only with song but with her testimony, and we are very fortunate to have her with us for our Women’s Discipleship Conference. Her official website is WWW.JANETPASCHAL.COM
