Young At Heart Ministries

Sr. Talent & Young At Heart

The annual Senior Adult Talent and Young at Heart Fellowship was a huge success with more than 625 in attendance. Harold T. and Alice Anderson provided an incredible breakfast prior to the talent competition. With music, art, and writing divisions combined, we had 100 amazing entries.

After the competition concluded, the attendees were escorted to the Activities Building where a delicious holiday meal was served by numerous volunteers. After lunch, the awards’ celebration began with all the 1st and 2nd place participants in each category receiving a trophy. The Ministry to the Military, lead by Terry Hayes, presented the colors as we honored the veterans who fought to give us the freedom we have in America today. Christian Comedian, Paul Aldrich, had us laughing, and then, more than $2400 of cash door prizes were given. Also, $4000 was received in the offering to go to the Carolina Children’s Home in Concord, NC.

Thank you to everyone who made this a wonderful and memorable day for the Eastern North Carolina Senior Adults.
